Preventive Dental Services Equal Healthy Smiles
Don’t underestimate the power of preventive dentistry for your kids. Making cleanings and exams a priority early in life usually indicates a greater priority later in life, too. When your kids come in twice a year for checkups, we have the opportunity to keep their smiles in tip-top shape. That saves time, money, and pain for your children down the road. Plus, a clean and healthy smile equals a confident smile – and greater self-esteem all around. During your children’s checkups, we take great care to be gentle, thorough, patient, and friendly. Our goal is not just about helping achieve long-term health – it’s also about keeping kids comfortable at the dentist. So while we’re checking for problems like cavities and getting their teeth sparkly clean, your kids can enjoy:- TVs and headphones
- Nature views outside our windows
- Laughing gas, if needed to relax or help stay still
- The opportunity to ask any questions to our team (kids have them, after all!)
Athletic Mouthguards Keep Your Kids’ Smiles Intact
Are your kids playing sports this year at school? Whether your kids participate in school athletics or just love to skateboard, you should consider a custom athletic mouthguard. Our office designs these specifically for their mouths. That means they’ll fit more comfortably than OTC sports guards – and will be more likely to stay in their mouths for superior protection.Wisdom Teeth Removal Can Be Done Right Here
No one looks forward to a tooth extraction. But we can make the process easier, particularly for wisdom tooth extraction. Our family dentists or a specialist who comes into the office can safely extract wisdom teeth. You won’t have to go to another practice in town. In fact, if your teen gets their teeth removed here, we can offer IV sedation so they don’t even have to remember their procedure. If your teen comes in for regular checkups, we’ll let you know when it’s time for their wisdom teeth to come out. Usually, it’s between ages 17 and 21 or so. Of course, not everyone needs their wisdom teeth removed, but we can let you know for sure. We’ll consider:- Whether their teeth are causing pain or could cause pain
- If they’re at greater chance for oral infection and decay because of these teeth
- If leaving their teeth in could cause misalignment of other teeth – definitely not something you want for your kids if they’ve already had braces, especially
Orthodontics Options Resolve Many Problems
Our family dentists offer braces, a big plus when you consider you don’t have to go to an orthodontist for their care. That can save you money and extra trips to a completely different office that may not be familiar with your kids. Not only do we offer orthodontics, though – we offer four different types!- Invisalign for discreet, removable clear aligners (older teens love these)
- Traditional braces made from modern materials
- Six Month Smiles with braces that blend in with teeth and offer a quick, less expensive route to straightening mildly crooked teeth
- Cfast clear braces, clear aligners, and invisible braces that attach to the back of teeth
